DESCRIPTION:Trick-or-Treating for Grownups! Presented by the Monmouth-Independence Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center\, Discover MI Town is an opportunity for visitors and locals alike to explore the beautiful downtown areas of our community and showcase our wonderful local restaurants\, stores\, and organizations. Saturday\, May 21 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM Eat\, Drink\, Shop! Downtown Independence & Downtown Monmouth Shuttle service provided (drop off/pick up at Riverview Park and Main Street Park) How it works: Ticket holders will receive a list of participating businesses and organizations and spend the afternoon visiting each host site and guest booth. Giveaways: Each participating business/organization will offer a free sample or promotional item to each ticket holder. Registration: The registration table will be at the Monmouth-Independence YMCA (301 Main Street S\, Independence). Shuttle Service: A shuttle will loop continuously from Independence to Monmouth from 12 PM to 5 PM. Drop off sites are Riverview Park in Independence (corner of Main Street and C Street) and Main Street Park in Monmouth (corner of Main Street and Warner Street). The shuttle service is free to all ticket holders. Host Sites: Many of our downtown businesses will be paired with local wineries and breweries and yes\, there will be tastings available! Grand Prize Basket: Ticket holders who submit their name and contact information the day of the event at the registration table will be entered to win a basket featuring items from participating businesses/organizations. Parking: Parking is surprisingly easy on Main Street and side streets in each downtown. Additional parking is available at Riverview Park along the river.
