\n This is \;a great chance to not only get caught up on the latest \;marine rules happening here in Oregon but a great way to insure you and your family will be safe this upcoming boating season.

\n To pass inspections\, boats must have the following:
\n\n \;
\n\n - Mandatory Oregon Boater Education Card if operating a motor boat over 10 HP
\n\n \;
\n\n - Properly-fitting personal flotation devices
\n\n \;
\n\n - One type IV that can be thrown
\n\n \;
\n\n - Navigation lights for night boating
\n\n \;
\n\n - Whistle or air canister
\n\n \;
\n\n - Fire extinguisher
\n\n \;
\n\n - Flame arrestor
\n\n \;
\n\n - Clean ventilation
\n\n \;
\n\n - Identifying numbers or boat registration numbers properly displayed
\n\n \;
\n\n - HIN displayed
\n\n \;
\n\n - Current validation sticker
