DESCRIPTION:Join us on a fun and cookie filled bicycle ride. The Monster Cookie Metric Century Bicycle Ride (61 miles) and Half Metric Century (31 miles) is the Salem Bicycle Club's premier bicycling event. The Monster Cookie has been ranked the 3rd best bicycle ride and is one of the oldest in Oregon. This will be the 45th year of the Monster Cookie. The Ride has a NEW start and end for 2021! The ride will start and end at Keizer Rapids Park (1900 Chemewa Rd N) in Keizer\, Oregon). Registration opens at 8 am. Once a cyclist registers or picks up their packet they can leave on the route. There will be no mass start. The route takes riders over generally flat and scenic back roads to Champoeg State Park and back to Keizer Rapids Park. Do the 45th at the 45th for 2021! NEW FOR 2021 a Salem Bicycle Club led Mini-Cookie Ride (6.2 mile) starting at 10 am from Keizer Rapid Park's Big Toy. The route goes through the Park and the quiet West Keizer Neighborhood to Wallace House Park and back. The Monster Cookie and Mini-Cookie rides are open to bicyclists of all levels. Riders under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Riders must wear helmets\, follow the Rules of the Road and follow established COVID protocols. All cyclists will get a Monster Cookie at the end
