DESCRIPTION:Mt Angel Chamber of Commerce presents Wurstfest\, February 28 and March 1\, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the Mount Angel Festhalle. This 6th Annual Mt. Angel Celebration of German Sausages features live OFest music including performances by local dance troupes\, Available are German and domestic beers\, regional and German wines\, a large variety of delicious handmade sausages. Select cheeses\, artisan breads and cookies\, specialty mustards\, chocolates and roasted nuts round out the food offerings. Vendors will sell German souvenirs\, clothing and other craft items. Friday is Senior Day with specials for those 55+ from 11 am to 5PM. There will also be a 5k Wurstfest Run & Walk on Saturday sponsored by Race Northwest -www.racenorthwest.com/events. Fasching (Carnival) with prizes for best costumes is Saturday from 5 to 11pm. . The entry fee is $5 per person age 21 and older\, $10 with specialty stein or glass (limited availability). Children will be admitted for free with an accompanying adult and welcomed until 9pm.
