DESCRIPTION:The Veterans' Silkies 5K Trail Challenge and Pacific Northwest Cross Country Championships is a championship event that invites cross country athletes to compete from all divisions\, ages\, and affiliations. This event will conduct 5 races offering an opportunity for all runners to compete in a championship race recognizing 1st and 2nd team honors for the very experienced competitors to the novice contestants.\n\n \n\nSITE: \n\nCorban University\, 5000 Deer Park Drive SE\, Salem\, OR 97310\n\n \n\nDATE: \n\nSaturday\, September 21\, 2019\n\n \n\nRACES: \n\n\n Elementary/Club PNW XC 3000 (Elemenatry): Girls 5th grade and under\, Boys 5th grade and under) 2 races\n Middle School/Club PNW XC 3000 (Middle School): Girls - 6th to 8th grades\, Boys - 6th to 8th grades) 2 races\n High School PNW XC 5000 (Varsity & JV): Girls 9th to 12th grades\, Boys 9th to 12th grades) 4 races\n SOVAH Silkies 5K Trail Challenge (Open\, Collegiate\, Club\, & Unattached): Ages 13 & over\, 1 race\n\n\n \n\nAWARDS: \n\n1st Team All-PNW: 1st - 8th place\n\n2nd Team All-PNW: 9th - 15th place\n\n \n\nThe top youth team in each race will earn awards (no team awards for the Silkies 5K). \n\n \n\nREGISTRATION:\n\nThe online entry deadlines are Wednesday\, September 18\, 2019 at 11:59 pm. \n\nAll team entries must have a consistent team name in order to be placed on the same squad. Individuals who do not reflect a recognizable team name will be considered as UNATTACHED and will not be scored as a member of their team of choice. EXAMPLE: User input for Cummings Elementary School would be CUMMINGS. Whiteaker middle school would be WHITEAKER. Bowerman Track Club would be BOWERMAN TC. \n\n \n\nENTRY FEE:\n\n$10 per athlete\n\n \n\nDIRECTIONS TO CORBAN UNIVERSITY FROM INTERSTATE 5:\n\nFrom Interstate 5 - Take Exit 252 (Kuebler Boulevard). Turn east and follow signs. Continue on Kuebler Blvd 3/4 mile and turn right on Turner Road. Proceed 1/2 mile southeast and turn left onto Deer Park Drive (directional sign says Corban University). Continue one mile northeast to university main entrance on right.\n\nLocal Traffic From Salem - From Commercial St: Take Kuebler Blvd. east to Turner Road and follow signs.\n\nFrom East Salem: Take Lancaster Drive south (name changes to Aumsville Hwy). Continue southeast on Aumsville Hwy. to Deer Park Drive SE\, turn right and follow signs to campus entrances.\n\n \n\nPARKING: There will be a $5 parking fee for all POVs.
