DESCRIPTION:The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Social Services is hosting its annual Tools for School backpack and supply distribution. It will give away about 175 backpacks filled with all the necessary school supplies to Falls City area youth from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the George Kitchen Upper Park. Families must bring photo I.D. or a recent utility bill to verify residence. \n\n \n\nThe event will include not only the backpack giveaway\, but families will also get to enjoy a free barbecue dinner\, haircuts\, immunizations\, dental services\, information about other local resources\, a bouncy house\, face painting\, and much more!  \n\n\n\nThe Salvation Army Kroc Social Services is collecting supplies in the month of July for the Tools for School event. Supplies can be dropped off at The Salvation Army's Polk County office in Dallas (182 SW Academy St Suite 220) or its Salem Family Services (1977 Front Street. Salem\, OR 97301). Cash donations are also happily accepted and will be used to purchase supplies at a discounted rate.
