2019 Physical Training Championships

Chemeketa Community College’s Veterans’ Services unit and the Chemeketa Foundation are proud to announce the 3rd Annual 2019 ROTC/JROTC Physical Training Championships. This competition will test the athletes strength and conditioning with standardized physical training events used in our Armed Forces. These events consist of push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, 300-meter dash, and the 2-mile run. All events are age and gender graded. DIVISIONS: 1) High School - 5 Team Members 2) College - 5 Team Members 3) Open - 3 Team Members AWARDS: 1) Top Overall Athlete (3) in each division 2) All-Competition 1st Team (18) - Top 7 Overall Scorers in each division. 3) Top Overall Team (3) - 1st Place team in each division This no-cost event is truly and All-Service affair. We are here to honor all members who sacrifice to make our nation safe. Our program is to pay homage to our members from the Armed Forces and to the sons and daughters engaging within our Emergency Services. We salute all of you for your service. With over 200 invitations extending out to programs on the west coast, it is our distinct honor to usher in the warriors and leaders of tomorrow from our nation’s programs and military preparatory academies. These cadets will embark upon a competition that will incorporate our Armed Force’s physical standards and embrace the military’s warrior ethos. This event provides a forum for our youth and young adults to compete with other programs across the country and embrace the unity only gained through volunteering to defend our nation. The proceeds to this event will go directly to Veteran Student awards and scholarships through the Chemeketa Foundation.
