Champoeg Pioneer Farmstead Day
Champoeg Pioneer Farmstead Day returns to the Champoeg State Heritage Area from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, September 1. You can take home fresh produce from the 1860s kitchen garden and watch demonstrations of what it took to live off the land: Wheat threshing, churning butter, spinning and wool carding, blacksmithing and woodworking.
There’s also pioneer games to go along with the work. More than 60 costumed volunteers will bring the 19th century to life.

Location
Champoeg State Park is at 8239 Champoeg Road NE. It’s accessible from Interstate 5, but for a more leisurely drive head up River Road N. (later River Road NE and Oregon State Highway 219).
