Salem Fill Your Pantry Event
You and all your neighbors are invited to stock up on delicious food directly from local farmers at the very first Salem Fill Your Pantry event. This community bulk buying event, organized by Friends of Family Farmers, will be held on Saturday, January 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Marion-Polk Food Share.
Community members can purchase pasture-raised meat, beans, grains, winter squash, root vegetables and more from eleven local farms and ranches. Orders are placed online through January 22. Food is available for pick up on January 28 at Marion-Polk Food Share’s warehouse, located at 1660 Salem Industrial Drive NE in Salem.
This event is an opportunity for the community to purchase local food directly from farmers and ranchers, as well as save money by buying in bulk.
