Sublimity Harvest Festival

The Sublimity Harvest Festival began in 1973 with the first tractor pull.  It started out as a competition between local farmers, to see whose tractor could pull the most dead weight the furthest.
 
It all began by using a sled hooked to the back of a tractor.  Farmers and spectators lined the sides of the track, as the sled was pulled down the track, they would jump on and add weight until the tractor could not pull any further.  The distance was measured by using a hand held tape.
 
This friendly competition that began on a Sunday afternoon, in an open field years ago, has now become the Grand Finale of each year.

Sublimity Harvest Festival Breakfast
The Santiam Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be serving a breakfast on Sunday, at the Sublimity Fire Hall from 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
 
On the menu: All you can eat pancakes, German sausage, made-to-order eggs, orange juice, milk, and coffee. The cost of breakfast is $6 for Adults, $5 for Seniors (60 & up), $4 for Kids (6-12) and children 4 and under are free.
 
All proceeds benefit the SMH Auxiliary.

We are located off Hwy 22 at 11880 Sublimity Rd SE in Sublimity Oregon.
 
 
Coming from the West (or Salem)
 
Take Hwy 22 to Stayton-Sublimity, Golf Club Rd Exit 12
Go to end of Exit Ramp
Turn left to cross over the highway
Turn right toward Sublimity
Entry to festival grounds is the on the right - look for the sign
Coming from the East
 
Take Hwy 22 to Stayton-Sublimity, Golf Club Rd Exit 12
Go to stop sign and go straight through intersection
Entry to festival grounds is the on the right - look for the sign
Alternate Route
 
Turn off at Stayton-Sublimity Cascade Hwy exit
Bear right to go to Sublimity
Continue through Sublimity to 4-way stop
Turn left onto Starr Street (becomes Sublimity Rd)
Go approx 2 miles
Entry to festival grounds is on the left - look for the sign
