Volcanoes vs. Boise

Tuesday, July 2nd -- The Volcanoes continue their three-game series with the Boise Hawks, and it is the second night of our 6th Annual Patriotic Tribute at Volcanoes Stadium. Yes, we will be Thanking, Honoring and Saluting 90+ outstanding, brave men and women of our Armed Forces from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Europe and the Middle-East including Korean War Nurse Staff Sergeant Shirley Boehmer, ONG Specialist 1st Class Irene Guerra, and many, many more Military Heroes and dignitaries. Dr. Bridget Cantrell considered one of the world?s most noted authorities on PTSD will be here all three days. Thirty organizations who work with Military families will be on the concourse handing out helpful information. The Volcanoes will be wearing their Patriotic Uniforms sponsored by MAK Grills. The North Salem High School Army JROTC will perform drill maneuvers between innings. In addition, Dr. Michael George, a Patriot Historian, will be coming from West Virginia to enlighten us on the history of the National Anthem, and many Patriots of History such as Nathan Hale, Patrick Henry and Paul Revere.
