Rotary Multi-Sport Event

We have a Family Fun Run in Riverfront Park that will take children, parents, grandchildren, grandparents, pets (on a leash), and friends and family Past the Bridge and Around the World on a journey that is about 1 km long. We also offer 5K and 10K runs where participants cross the Peter Courtney Bridge and travel along some of the most scenic trails in Minto-Brown Island Park before returning to Riverfront Park. These events are open to everyone from high-performance runners to the more casual joggers and walkers. Regardless of one’s time, everyone who registers receives a t-shirt and a beautiful Finisher Medal. And, we offer four multi-sport events: Olympic and Sprint distance triathlons and Olympic and Sprint distance duathlons. The triathlons and duathlons involve three of Salem’s premier parks: Wallace Marine Park, Riverfront Park, and Minto-Brown Island Park. The triathlon is a swim/bike/run and the duathlon is a run/bike/run; both multi-sport events are open to individuals and teams. Our triathletes swim in the Willamette River; the bike course takes riders past downtown Salem and along rural River Road South; and the runs follow the same scenic courses as the 5K and 10K events.
